Rudolph Eggleston

BELTON — Memorial services for Rudolph “Johnny” Eggleston, 85, of Killeen will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton with the Rev. Jay Thomas officiating.

Burial will follow in North Belton Cemetery.

Mr. Eggleston was born Oct. 21, 1923, to James Henry and Clemie Eggleston Sr., in Denton. He married Dorthey Jane Barnes on July 27, 1946, in Belton. He served in the U.S. Army at Camp Hood. He was a car salesman for Connell Used Cars, Ira Young, Armstrong Motor Company and Cantrell Ford. He was also sales manager for Fergus Motor Company for 17 years. He started Johnny “E” Motor Company in 1971, and later retired. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years; two daughters, Karen Eggleston Flockhart and Connie Eggleston Myers; and a grandson.
