BELTON — Memorial services for the Rev. Mack M. Morris, 83, of Temple will be 10 a.m. Monday at Christ Episcopal Church in Temple with the Rev. David Alwine officiating.

Rev. Morris died Friday, Dec. 26, at a Temple nursing home.

He was born July 6, 1925, to Herbert Brooke Morris and Mary Mack Smith Morris in Guthrie, Okla. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas and a Master of Divinity degree from the Episcopal Theological Seminary in Cambridge, Mass. He was ordained a priest in the Episcopal Church in 1949. He married Helen Hagedorn on Sept. 9, 1954, in San Benito. He served at churches throughout Texas and his final position was as Rector of St. Luke’s Episcopal in Belton, 1973-1990. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years in 1998.

Survived by a son, Charles A. Morris of Temple.

Visitation will be 1-3 p.m. today at Dossman Funeral Home of Belton.
