ROSEBUD — Services for Samuel Ray Borden, 59, of China Spring, formerly of Rosebud will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud with the Rev. Terry Horton officiating.

Burial will follow in Powers Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Borden died Wednesday, Dec. 24.

He was born Dec. 25, 1948, to Samuel and Louella McBride Borden in Rosebud. He lived most of his life in Fort Worth and moved to China Spring in August of 2008. He married Elaine Colston. He graduated from Dallas Baptist University and attended Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth. He was a teacher with the China Spring ISD.

Survivors include his wife of China Spring; a son, Michael Borden of Hurst; two brothers, James Borden of Fort Worth and Tommie Borden of Azle; a sister, Delores Capps of Haltom City; and a grandson.

Viewing will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
