A tattered flag on top of a vacant business on Shallow Ford West Road in Temple blows in the winds that hit the area on Friday afternoon. Winds returned again Saturday but died down before sunset. The high for Saturday was in the low 70s. Saturday night had a low of 37 degrees. Today will be partly sunny with a high of 59 degrees; Monday will see temperatures back in the low 70s. According to www.flagkeepers.org, the flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.
