Mrs. Brown died Friday, Dec. 26, at a Temple hospital.
She was born Oct. 28, 1949, in Austin. She graduated from high school in Round Rock, where she played the clarinet. She married Leon E.K. Brown on April 29, 1988.
Survivors include her husband of 20 years; three sons, Gordon Verge, Jonathan Verge and William Cox; four daughters, Leandra Crow, Dawnett Zamisz, Rhonda Cox and Doris Walker; two brothers, Bill Mewis of Virginia and Richard Mewis of Belton; four sisters, Nancy Strasser of Waco, Wilma Reid of Belton, Dora Westbrook of Milano and Melody Shilling of Temple; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple.
