Mr. Gibson died Friday, Dec. 26, in Wagoner.
He was born Feb. 29, 1924, in Muskogee, Okla., to Cecil William Gibson Sr. and Pauline Pitts Gibson. He attended school in Muskogee and served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II After graduating from Oklahoma A&M, he spent most of his life in Tulsa. He worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas in Tulsa for 40 years and retired as a purchasing agent in 1984. He had moved to Wagoner the past 3 years to be closer to family.
Survivors include his son, Jerry Gibson of Wagoner; a sister, Carolyn Sue Fields of Temple; and three grandsons.
Mallett Funeral Home of Wagoner is in charge of arrangements.
