Jesse Wyman, bottom, and Joseph Boyle attach 430 yards of 9-foot chiffon to a wooden ring on Monday in preparation for the Temple Civic Theatre’s New Year’s Eve Gala at the Cultural Activities Center. The ring, affectionately dubbed “The Chiffondelier” by Wyman, lighting designer for TCT will house a Ryno Glass chandelier custom made for the event. The gala will kick off at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the CAC, at 3011 N. Third St. in Temple. The theme of the gala is “A Starry Night” and was inspired by Van Gogh’s painting of the same name. Admission is $80 for individuals, $150 for couples, $750 for a table of eight. Reservations will be accepted on the day of the gala.
