ROSEBUD — Services for Elaine Borden, 59, of China Spring will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud with the Rev. Michael Copeland officiating.

Burial will follow in Powers Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Borden died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, in a Temple hospital.

She was born Oct. 18, 1949, to Henry and Louise Hobbs Colston in Houston. She married Samuel Ray Borden. She was a retired schoolteacher. She lived most of her life in Fort Worth, moving to China Spring in August of 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 24, 2008.

Survivors include a son, Michael Borden of Hurst; three brothers, Ronnie Colston of Conroe, and Pat Colston and Mike Colston, both of Nacogdoches; and a grandson.
