Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in St. Monica Catholic Church Cemetery in Cameron.
Mrs. Cameron died Thursday, Jan. 1, at a Temple nursing home.
She was born Nov. 17, 1919, to Anton and Theresa Zielsdorf Stecher in Cameron. She graduated from Providence Nursing School in 1941. She served as a 2nd Lt., in the U.S. Army during World War II, 1942-1946, serving in Milne Bay and Lae, New Guinea. She married C.E. Cameron on Feb. 3, 1948, in Temple. She was a retired RN for the V.A. Hospital in Temple. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years on Nov. 14, 2006.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Cameron of Salado and Paul Cameron of Temple; a brother, Lane Stecher of Woodway; and two grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, 1019 South 19th St., Temple, TX 76504.
A rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple, with visitation to follow.
