Mr. Ehlert died Monday, Dec. 29, at a Dallas hospital.
He was born Aug. 2, 1957, to Richard H. and Claire A. Lange Ehlert in Berwyn, Ill., and was raised in the Chicago area. He had lived in this area for the past 11 years, moving from California. He served in the U.S. Army. He later worked as a research analyst with an Army contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Ehlert of Harker Heights; a son, Sean Ehlert of Harker Heights; a daughter, Shannon Ehlert of Harker Heights; three sisters, Laura Walker, Julia Glass and Marcia Ehlert, all of Arizona; and two grandchildren.
