Mrs. Chalmers died Thursday, Jan. 1, at an assisted living center.
She was born June 2, 1920, to Andrew and Mary Rankin Wilson in Toronto, Canada. She married Robert Chalmers on Oct. 6, 1956, in Bronx, N.Y. She had been a Temple resident since 1971. She worked as a waitress and a licensed vocational nurse before retiring. She volunteered at the Scott & White Hospice Thrift Store for more than 10 years. She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Morgan’s Point. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years on Sept. 15, 2000.
Survivors include two daughters, Bobbi-Jean Provazek of Temple and Andrea Laack of Milwaukee; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
