Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Northside Church of Christ in Temple with Kyle Jackson officiating.
Private burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Manning was born April 27, 1918, to O.R. and Lucy Pilkinton Clifton in Carlton. She graduated from Carlton High School and earned an associate’s degree from Tarleton State College in Stephenville. She married M.D. Manning Jr. on June 15, 1941, in Austin. She worked as a bookkeeper in Austin and Belton and as a substitute teacher in McAllen and Temple ISD. She also taught children’s bible classes and was a world bible schoolteacher for students in Nigeria. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years in January of 2001.
Survivors include two daughters, Regina Ann Manning Jackson of Midland and Manette Manning Scanio of Corpus Christi; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
