Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Briggs.
Mr. Hulsey died Monday, Jan. 5, in a local hospital.
He was born May 1, 1942, in Lampasas to Alfred D. Hulsey and Flora Mozelle Bell Hulsey. He graduated from high school in Lampasas and married Peggy Stiles on Nov. 16, 1963. He was a heavy equipment operator and a rancher. He lived in Lake Jackson and Briggs before moving to Burnet in 2005. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Darla Laird.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Michelle Anson of Bradyville, Tenn; two sons, John Hulsey and David Hulsey, both of Bradyville, Tenn.; two brothers, Roger Hulsey of Grapeland and Gary Hulsey of Marble Falls; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation, or the American Cancer Society.
