Burial will follow in Straley Cemetery in the Adamsville community.
Mr. Jones died Wednesday, Jan. 7.
He was born on March 3, 1915, to Newberry and Fannie Hatley Jones in Izoro. He married Velma Loreda Beavers on Oct. 27, 1935, in Hobart, Okla. He worked his farm and ranch for 60 years. He was a life-long member of the Congregational Methodist Church, serving as Sunday school superintendent and deacon for 45 years. He served as a director of the local Farm Bureau and as a community representative for the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service, now known as the Farm Service Agency. He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years in November 2007 and a daughter, Bobbie Jean Jones.
Survivors include a son, Don Jones of Lampasas; a daughter, Martha Jones Witcher of Granbury; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
