Burial will follow in Gonzales Memorial Cemetery in Gonzales.
Mrs. Malatek died Wednesday, Jan. 7, at a Temple hospital.
She was born on Dec. 4, 1925, to Isaac Walter and Lorena Duke Boring in Gonzales. She graduated from Gonzales High School in 1943. She worked on chicken farms and delivered newspapers. Later she worked in the engineering department for NASA in Clear Lake City. She co-managed a Western Auto Store in Westminster, Calif. In Killeen she served as the coordinator of Fort Hood Campuses and then the Killeen Mall office for Central Texas College. She graduated from Central Texas College with a degree in business. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Killeen and Cedar Valley Baptist in Salado. She was a member of the Central Texas College Retirees’ Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Alyson Hockenbrocht; two brothers, Hugh Boring and Robert Boring; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
