GATESVILLE — Services for Corlindia “Carol” Yarham Wallace, 78, of Gatesville will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville with the Rev. Kurt Fuessel officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenbriar Cemetery.

Mrs. Wallace died on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at a Temple hospital.

She was born on Jan. 14, 1930, to the late Ernest and Eleanor Flemming Curtis in Pelaw, England. She sailed to America in 1952 and married Robert “Bob” Wallace on April 12, 1953. She started Wallace Handbags in 1970. She was employed by the Texas Department of Corrections, working in medical records at the Mount View and Hilltop Units. She was a member of Mountain Baptist Church of Gatesville. She was preceded in death by a son, John Wallace.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Robert Wallace Jr., Alan Wallace, Glenn Wallace and David Wallace; two daughters, Kathryn Warren and Brenda Fread; four brothers, Jack Curtis of Australia and Harry Curtis, Ernie Curtis and Alan Curtis, all of England; 18 grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Memorials may be made to Mountain Baptist Church or to the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
