Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday in North Belton Cemetery with Dr. Rodney Kruse officiating.
Mr. Palmer was born Jan. 9, 1927, to Ford Lopez Palmer and Ruth Matthews Palmer in Belton. He grew up in Belton and joined the U.S. Army, serving as an automatic weapons crewman with the 571st Battalion. He worked for the Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation for more than 21 years, retiring in the 1980s. He was a member of the Nolanville Church of Christ and the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include a brother, Billy Ford Palmer of Austin, and a sister, Janet Wagnon of Hickory, N.C.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Dossman Funeral Home of Belton.
