Jenna Roach got the victory in her first start of the season as the Lady Tigers downed Lee. The Lady Tigers collected three runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to pull away.
Brianna Bozon and Amber Peters drove in runs on back-to-back singles in the fourth and Peters scored later on a Talya Bishoff sacrifice fly. Victoria Alcozer hit an RBI groundout and Bozon drove in two more in the fifth. Madi Moore drove home Peters to put the Lady Tigers on the board in the third.
In Belton’s opener, Krystal Faber and Peters hit solo homers but that was all the run production the Lady Tigers managed in a loss to Memorial. Memorial scored four unearned runs to get the win. Brynne Steger took the loss in the circle.
Belton (10-6) will play back-to-back games today at 2 and 4 p.m. against Celina and Cedar Park Vista Ridge, respectively.
