Mrs. Haley was born on April 13, 1916, to John Cox Hale and Vera Leverett Hale in Farmersville. She moved to Dallas at age 12. She graduated from North Dallas High School and Dallas Academy of Speech and Drama. She married Dr. Melvin Donald Haley in Dallas in 1942. She was a homemaker and spent the majority of her life in Baytown. She was a charter member and box office chairman for Baytown Little Theatre, a board member of the Bay Area Heritage Society and the East Harris County Medical Auxiliary. She was active in the Baytown Cultural Arts Council and Lakewood Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years on June 3, 2005, and two sons, Donald Allen Haley and Thomas Edward Haley.
Survivors include nieces and nephews.
