Services for Ida Mae Hertel, 83, of Temple will be 2 p.m. Monday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Kerry Sharp officiating.

Burial will follow in Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.

Mrs. Hertel died Wednesday, April 22, in a Temple hospital.

She was born on Sept. 24, 1925, to Hansford and Clara Grunwald Lewis in Orchard. She married Nolan E. Hertel and moved to Temple in 1945. She retired after 23 years of service with Dillard’s. She also worked for Daniel’s Men’s Wear and Johnson’s Men’s Wear, both in Temple. She was a member of Oak Park United Methodist Church in Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years on Sept. 30, 1933.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna Eason of Heidenheimer; and a grandson.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
