Philip A. Calabria

WACO — Graveside services for Philip A. Calabria, 76, of Temple will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Rosemound Cemetery with Chaplain Albert Lopez officiating with full military honors.

Mr. Calabria died Thursday, May 21.

He was born on May 30, 1932, to Peter and Dee Brannan Scelza Calabria in Hartford, Conn. He retired from the U.S. Army after serving during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Calabria, in 1994.

Survivors include three sons, Richard Calabria, Philip Calabria Jr., and Eugene Calabria, all of Weatherford; two daughters, Frances Harris and Phyllis Atkins, both of Weatherford; two stepsons, Royce Galyen II of Eddy and Greg Markwardt of China Springs; a stepdaughter, Sherry Galyen of Temple; a brother, Richard Calabria of Las Vegas; a sister, Francis Gouge of Weatherford; his stepfather, Leo Brannan of Weatherford; 24 grandchildren; and 41 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Boy’s Town, P.O. Box 6000, Boys Town, Neb., 68010-9988.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Connally/Compton Funeral Directors in Waco.
