Lock, a Temple College signee, set a single-season school record with 136 strikeouts.
Newman went 8-5 with a 2.15 earned-run average. Garrett Vail hit .371, and Nieberding hit .375. Hoelscher led the Tigers with a .441 average, seven home runs, 33 RBI, 37 runs and 15 doubles.
Temple sophomore Dillon Mangham and Belton’s John Beck, Nick Wright, Brett Hernandez, Jarrett Crowell and Kevin Thornton made the second team.
