Burial will be in Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple.
Mr. Younts died Monday, June 1, in a Temple hospital.
He was born on Sept. 23, 1928, to Luther and Hattie Ruth Dennis Younts in Temple. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a rancher before he retired. He was a lifelong resident of Bell County. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Temple; a charter member of the Exchange Club of Temple and the Odd Fellows; a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, the Sons of George Washington at Valley Forge, and the Sons of the Republic of Texas; and a lifetime member of the Texas Hereford Association. Following the death of his first wife, Francis Irene Hanson Younts, on May 2, 1992, he married May Dell Yeager Newton on Oct. 6, 1996, in Bedias.
Survivors include his wife of Belton; three sons, Curtis Younts Jr. of Rogers, George Newton of Bedias and Jay Newton of Lake Limestone; two daughters, Joy Dell Moeller of Waller and Kay Herren of Marquez; a brother, Donal Younts of Dawson; a sister Annie Ilene Beutler of Temple; 15 grandchildren; and serveral great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple.
