Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia.
Mr. Greger died Monday, June 8, in a Temple nursing center.
He was born Oct. 2, 1918, in Durango to George and Mary Dehmer Greger. He lived most of his life in the Westphalia area. He married Annie Rutschilling Jan. 23, 1952, and she preceded him in death April 4, 2002. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired from American Desk Manufacturing in Temple.
Survivors include five sons, Bernard Greger of Seaton, Eugene Greger of Granger, Arthur Greger and Harold Greger, both of Westphalia, and Jerome Greger of Morgan’s Point; a daughter, Bernardine “Bernie” Reynolds of Moffat; two brothers, Tony Greger of Cleveland and Raymond Greger of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Bertha Pavelka of Marlin, Mary Helen Conners of Lott, and Alma Lena Roessler of West; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; 15 stepgreat-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-great-granddaughter.
Memorials may be made to Westphalia Historical Society or to Lighthouse Hospice.
A rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Thursday in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
