The pageant and style show will begin at 6 p.m. at Gober Party House, 1516 W. Ave. H in Temple. It will be followed by a teen dance from 9 to 11 p.m. Admission is $5 and covers all three events.
The style show will feature fashions from J.C. Penney, Baby Phat and Phat Farm. Models for the show include A’Mia Calhoun, Alaysia Kennedy, Alexis Kirkland, Alivea Johnson, Andrejah Riggins, Angel Rhem, Ashley Kirkland, Azydrea Moore, Blaque Landrum Jones, Breann Kennedy, Cambre Johnson, Darius Johnson, Diamond Tucker, Jason Peoples Jr., Francis McCauley, Glenda F. Vasquez, Haleigh Johnson, Jasmine Willis, Jerquayvia White, Kelliah Walker, LaByria Dudley, Lameika Page, Laricia Barrow, Lavincenza Pittman, Mercedie Jones, Oriana Valdez, Quintayvia White, Re’Kyra Sauls, Ro’Shandice McCullough, Sausha Armstrong, T’Frya McCauley, Taliyah Johnson, Taylor Reed, Tehreneka Harvey, Terrance Johnson II and Tiajah McCaulry.
The pageant will include three girls competing for the teenage Miss Juneteenth and six for Lil’ Miss. All girls will speak at the beginning of the program and the winner will be based on fundraising efforts.
Event organizer Charlene Thompson said the winners will ride in Saturday’s Juneteenth parade and will represent the organization at various events throughout the year.
