Registration for “Photo Sharp and Shutter Happy,” will be at 8 a.m., and sessions will run from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The $10 fee will cover lunch, drinks and workshop materials. Reserva-tions are due June 17. They can be made by calling 933-5305.
The workshop will cover all aspects of photography from the group shots to photo editing.
“The presenters are all talented photographers who know their stuff,” Carter said.
Larry Henry of the Central Texas Photographic Club will explain the mechanics of a digital camera in his program, “Know Your Camera: The Do’s and Don’ts of Photography.”
Then Sue Steakley will present “Portraits and Groupings” and demonstrate how to set up lights and arrange people for portraits and group photos.
In “Still Life Photography,” Bob and July Renker will demonstrate the how-to’s of that art form. And Emma-Leigh Coffman will show students how to build a light box for still-life photography.
In the “Adventure of Landscape and Nature Photography,” the retired Leroy Williamson will talk about his career as chief photographer for the Texas Parks and Wildlife magazine and share tips for finding good scenes.
Then in “Digital Darkroom,” Molly Cripe of Photographics Unlimited will show students how to download photos from digital cameras to computers and adjust and print them.
Carter and his wife Melissa will show students how to mount and mat photos and how to make greeting cards out of their photos.
