Dessie D. Caskey

COPPERAS COVE — Services for Dessie Doris Caskey, 78, of Copperas Cove will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop James Von Ruedgisch officiating.

The body will be cremated.

Mrs. Caskey died Friday, June 12, at her home.

She was born on Jan. 31, 1931, to Grover Martin Dudley and Mary Dessie Williams Dudley in Amarillo. She married Lee O. Caskey in 1957 in Amarillo. She worked in retail management in El Paso; she was a Baptist and a world traveler. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1963, and a son, Raymond M. Cook.

Survivors include a daughter, Diane Fontenot of Copperas Cove; three brothers, Jack Dudley and Gene Weeden, both of Amarillo, and Ed Weeden of Phoenix; four sisters, Orpha Overturf of Sherman, Glinda Hineline of El Paso, Linda Burke of Cullen, La., and Ova Baker of Phoenix; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Sheppard Funeral Home in Copperas Cove is in charge of arrangements.
