Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with Dr. Don Lynn officiating.
Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Temple.
Mr. Hutka was born on Nov. 18, 1922, to Henry B. Hutka Sr. and Frances Hejl Hutka in Temple. He graduated from Temple High School. He served in the U.S. Marines in the 2nd Marine Division, in the South Pacific, during World War II.
He married Laverne Calhoun and after 42 years she preceded him in death in 1992. He then married Mary Halfaker Bridges on Sept. 11, 1993. He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a lifetime member of Temple Elks Lodge No. 138; the VFW Bell Post No. 1820; American Legion Post 133; the SPJST Lodge in Academy and was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife of Temple; a son, Mark A. Hutka of Temple; two stepsons, Sam Houston and Ken Bridges, both of Temple; a stepdaughter, Donna Moore of Temple; a brother, Bill Hutka of Gatesville; three sisters, Evelyn Younts and Shirley McCray, both of Temple and Frances Nester of Killeen; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
