Burial will follow in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
Mr. Amundson died Monday, July 6, in a Temple hospital.
He was born Nov. 26, 1960, to Norman G. and Beulah Oelberg Amundson in Waukon, Iowa. He graduated from high school in Iowa. He served more than 20 years in the U.S. Army, retiring in 2000. He then worked as a field representative for DRS Technologies. He married Anita Julian Link.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Nicholas Amundson of Killeen; a daughter, Jennifer Amundson of Iowa; a brother, Albert Amundson of Iowa; two sisters, Norma Starks and Brenda Moses, both of Iowa; and his mother of Iowa.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
