Mr. Massengale died Tuesday, July 7, at his home. He was born on May 16, 1920, to Herbert and Ethel Nabours Massengale in Maysfield. He retired as a colonel in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Lorene Baggett Massengale, of the Tracy community; a son, Lt. Col. Robert M. Massengale of Fredricksburg; two daughters, Patricia Massengale Caroom of Austin and Nancy Baggett Coleman of Bryan; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron.
