The Tem-Cats improved to 18-14 overall and 5-4 in District 12-5A, tied with Belton for fourth place.
"The girls did a good job and kept focused after a big win over Belton on Tuesday," Temple coach Susie Hughlett said. "They came out ready to play, knowing the second round (of district play) is key."
Loryn Goodwin led Temple with 12 kills, nine digs and an ace. Faith Thompson added nine kills and an ace.
The Tem-Cats host Killeen Shoemaker at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
"We think (making the playoffs) is doable," Hughlett added. "If we continue to play like we did against Belton and tonight, we should give some teams a run for their money."
Belton swept by A&M Consolidated
BELTON - Class 5A No. 8-ranked College Station A&M Consolidated made short work of Belton on Friday, sweeping to a 25-13, 25-18, 25-17 victory at Tiger Gym.
The loss dropped Belton (11-22, 5-4 District 12-5A) into a tie for fourth place with Temple in the district standings. Consol (26-7, 9-0) retained its grasp on first place.
Grace Weaver and Brooke Kiella had five kills apiece for Belton, which got 25 assists from Brooke Malcik and 11 digs from Chelsea Lomprey.

UMHB falls to UTD
BELTON - Mary Hardin-Baylor was swept by Texas-Dallas 25-14, 26-24, 25-19 on Friday night at Mayborn Campus Center.
The Lady Crusaders (6-19, 3-6 American Southwest Conference) got nine kills from Kaydie Cochran, 14 digs from Erin Maenius and 24 assists from Kayla Marzean but it wasn't enough to overcome the Comets (14-0, 9-0).

UMHB men blank UT-Dallas
BELTON - Mary Hardin-Baylor raced to a 2-0 halftime lead and never looked back en route to a 3-0 victory over Texas-Dallas on Friday.
The No. 25-ranked Crusaders (9-1-0, 7-0 American Southwest Conference) used first-half goals by Trevor Shoppach and Ben Allen to put the Comets (6-3-3, 3-2-1) in a 2-0 hole, and Bo Baker capped the scoring in the second half. Vincent Morales had two assists, and Kyle Dickey had one.
UMHB women rally past UT-Dallas
BELTON - Mary Hardin-Baylor used a pair of second-half goals to chalk up a 2-1 victory over Texas-Dallas on Friday.
Leah Bowyer had staked the Comets (3-5-3, 3-2-1 American Southwest Conference) to a 1-0 halftime lead before the Lady Crusaders (7-3, 6-1) rallied.
Kim Wobecky's unassisted goal tied the match, and Angel Kemmerer provided the game-winner off an assist by Jordan Powers.
