A wet start to the week

Although clouds continued to dump rain on Temple Sunday and temperatures turned cooler, local residents weren't deterred from going out.

Those venturing out to Target on South General Bruce Drive and hoping to pick up an umbrella may have been disappointed. The store is running low on umbrellas and has almost sold out. Store employee Hannia Arroyo said umbrellas have been flying of the racks and their trench coats have sold out.

"Yesterday was an exceptional day for us and we think it's because people are coming out to shop due to the rain."

Temple received about an inch and a half of rain Sunday, with the most rain falling at 5:55 p.m.

Today's temperatures will reach about 67 degrees.

Today and Tuesday hold the greatest rain chances this week at 40 percent. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will see highs near 80 degrees and lows near 70 degrees.

Another cold front moves through Thursday bringing highs for Friday and Saturday to the lower 70s and lows in the 50s.
