Capsule Previews for Friday Night's Area High School Football Games

- District 12-5A -

HARKER HEIGHTS at TEMPLE

7:30 p.m., Wildcat Stadium

Records: Harker Heights Knights 1-5 overall, 1-2 in District 12-5A; Temple Wildcats 2-4, 1-2

Last week: Harker Heights 48, Killeen Shoemaker 0; Temple 31, Killeen Ellison 14

Last year: Temple 48, Harker Heights 10

Knights to watch: Running back Kerry Sloan (125 carries, 843 rushing yards, eight touchdowns); quarterback Brandon Bullock (50-of-88 passing, 580 yards, six TDs; 59 carries, 167 yards, two TDs); linebacker Tyler Babb; defensive end Chris Henry; DE Vladimir Gray

Wildcats to watch: RB Lache Seastrunk (95 carries, 597 yards, six TDs; nine receptions, 174 yards, TD; eight TDs overall); fullback/LB Derrick Davis (87 carries, 474 yards, five TDs; 24 tackles); free safety Donovan Shumpert (team-high 78 tackles, three fumble recoveries); LB Steven Boggess (36 tackles, three fumble recoveries); nose guard Jesus Rodriguez (seven fumbles caused); DE Nich Crosswhite (33 tackles)

What it means: This has the potential to be an elimination game in the 12-5A playoff derby. The loser will drop to 1-3 in the league and have to win out to have any chance of advancing to postseason play. Meanwhile, the victor will remain in the race - and be only one game out of the district lead if Copperas Cove defeats first-place Belton tonight. Beating Ellison last week gives Temple a shot to win its final five regular-season games for the third straight year. The Wildcats have the added incentive of this being their homecoming game.

Outlook: Temple and Heights' combined record of 3-9 won't impress many, but both teams raised their level of play in convincing wins last week to keep their heads above water in 12-5A. Coach Bryce Monsen's Wildcats used a potent rushing attack - led by Seastrunk and Davis - and an aggressive, opportunistic defense to turn a 10-7 halftime lead into a 17-point win. It was the Temple defense's second consecutive strong performance. Meanwhile, first-year Heights coach Mike Mullins - previously the boss at Cameron Yoe - got his first victory with the Knights in the demolition of injury-plagued Shoemaker. Just as Heights wants to at least contain Temple's speed-power tandem of Seastrunk and Davis, the Wildcats will have to limit the effectiveness of Sloan, one of the area's best running backs.

BELTON at COPPERAS COVE

7:30 p.m., Bulldawg Stadium

Records: Belton Tigers 6-0, 3-0; Copperas Cove Bulldawgs 5-1, 2-1

Last week: Belton 28, College Station A&M Consolidated 0; Bryan 34, Copperas Cove 20

Last year: Copperas Cove 52, Belton 26

Tigers to watch: QB Jonathan Paysse (9-of-27, 115 yards, two TDs); WR Jeff Lepak (19 catches, 262 yards, five TDs); WR Kevin Thornton (17 catches, 208 yards, two TDs); RB Anthony Huber (287 yards, five TDs); RB Kenny Shuler (316 yards, two TDs); DE Tim Bower (47 tackles, six sacks); DT Zac Sakaria (41 tackles, six sacks; recorded 11 tackles in 22 plays last week); LB Tyler Vail (45 tackles)

Bulldawgs to watch: RB Brandin Byrd (587 yards, 10 TDs); RB Brelan Chancellor (421 yards, three TDs); WR William Wright (263 yards, six TDs); QB Cody Vaughn (40-of-77, 738 yards, five TDs); DB Brandon Durant; DB Matthew Garrett

What it means: A Belton victory would give the Tigers a two-game cushion over reigning league champion Cove with three to play. The Bulldawgs haven't lost back-to-back games since 2003.

Outlook: This is Belton's ultimate test to see where its program truly stands. The Tigers dominated their first six opponents by an average score of 37-10 and trailed just once (2-0 to Round Rock McNeil). QB David Ash is a game-time decision after suffering a high ankle sprain two weeks ago. Paysse filled in and threw for 113 yards and two scores last week, when the offensive line opened holes to allow Huber total career highs of 28 carries and 123 yards.

The defense held power-running Consol to one first down and 55 yards last week. That unit will need another stout effort to slow down Cove's three-back attack of Byrd, Chancellor and Wright. The Bulldawgs defense allowed 470 rushing yards last week and was surprisingly dominated along the line of scrimmage in rainy weather.

BRYAN at KILLEEN ELLISON

7:30 p.m., Leo Buckley Stadium

Records: Bryan Vikings 3-3, 2-1; Ellison Eagles 3-3, 1-2

Last week: Bryan 34, Copperas Cove 20; Temple 31, Killeen Ellison 14

Last year: Ellison 28, Bryan 9

Vikings to watch: RB Nate Jones (680 yards, 11 TDs); RB Chris Watson (508 yards, seven TDs); QB Kesnick Taylor (26-of-50, 498 yards, five TDs; 269 rushing yards, three TDs); S Johnnie Goosby (48 tackles)

Eagles to watch: RB David Cobb (765 yards, eight TDs); RB Eric West (429 yards, two TDs); QB Kyle Skinner (12-of-43, 275 yards, four TDs); WR Devante Cloud (three catches, 133 yards, two TDs)

What it means: Ellison's playoff hopes will be severely damaged with a loss to Bryan because Belton and A&M Consolidated still loom on the Eagles' schedule. The Vikings hope to keep the momentum going after jumping into district title contention with last week's win over Cove.

Outlook: Bryan's triple-option attack comes in with a load of steam after piling up 470 rushing yards on 66 attempts last week. Jones ran for 218, Watson had 122 and Taylor added 82 while orchestrating the offense.

Ellison's Wing-T rushing attack gained 209 yards on 35 carries but had four turnovers. The Eagles' inability to generate a passing game - fourth-lowest output in the area - has defenses loading the box to stop the run. Skinner is 4-of-25 passing for 25 yards with two interceptions in three district games.

KILLEEN SHOEMAKER at COLLEGE STATION A&M CONSOLIDATED

7:30 p.m., Tigerland Stadium, College Station

Records: Shoemaker Grey Wolves 0-6, 0-3; A&M Consolidated Tigers 3-3, 2-1

Last week: Harker Heights 48, Killeen Shoemaker 0; Belton 28, A&M Consolidated 0

Last year: Shoemaker 32, A&M Consolidated 24

Grey Wolves to watch: QB Darrien Nicholas (46-of-118, 637 yards, three TDs); QB Jammie Blount (may make first varsity start tonight); WR Vincent Fuller (18 catches, 323 yards, two TDs)

Tigers to watch: RB Chris Nutall (594 yards, eight TDs); FB Clinton Banks (634 yards, 10 TDs); RB Quinton White (155 yards, TD); QBs Rickey Smith and Kyle Doll (one will make first varsity start tonight)

What it means: Consol looks to get back on track after suffering its first district loss. Shoemaker hopes to avoid more injuries to its already depleted squad and score its first points since Sept. 25.

Outlook: The two most injury-riddled teams in the district finally meet in what should be a lopsided Consol victory. The Tigers will start either receiver Smith or tight end Doll at quarterback after losing three starting signal-callers in the past three weeks.

Shoemaker's injury report grows each week. QB Jameill Showers - reigning 12-5A MVP and Texas A&M commitment - likely is out for the season after doctors on Wednesday didn't clear him to play. Nicholas is day-to-day after suffering a hip flexor last week. Defensive end and Houston commitment Eric Braswell is week-to-week with a knee injury and defensive tackle Elliot Hilliard is out with a torn meniscus. Other players out for the season include Andre Franklin, James Williamson and Jonathon Wilson.

- District 25-4A -

LAMPASAS at DRIPPING SPRINGS

7:30 p.m., Tiger Stadium

Records: Lampasas Badgers 1-5, 0-2; Dripping Springs Tigers 2-5, 0-3

Last week: No. 1 Austin Lake Travis 38, Lampasas 7; Hutto 35, Dripping Springs 10

Last year: Dripping Springs 35, Lampasas 14

Badgers to watch: RB Ed Hall (652 yards, six TDs; RB Brode Dubose (466 yards, six TDs); LB Rush Seaver (73 tackles)

Tigers to watch: QB Jeff Tuck (47-of-88, 539 yards); WR Nathan Smothers (29 catches, 339 yards); LB Chas Knight (50 tackles)

What it means: A fourth district loss would all but kill the playoff hopes of the Tigers, who still have district front-runners Pflugerville Hendrickson and Lake Travis on the schedule.

Outlook: The Badgers have shown their ability to move the ball, even against some of the state's top teams. They gained 254 yards last week against top-ranked Lake Travis and average 291.3 per game. But the defense has struggled, giving up 517 yards last week and 361.3 per game. Dripping Springs' offense averages 361 per game.

Tuck and Kaleb Syring have almost half of the Tigers' 261 carries and have accounted for 661 yards. The key for the Badgers is to establish a lead early so they aren't forced to pass late. Lampasas has thrown for only 82 yards, completing six of 21 passes.

- District 7-3A -

HILLSBORO at GATESVILLE

7:30 p.m., McKamie Stadium

Records: Hillsboro Eagles 1-4, 0-1; Gatesville Hornets 5-1, 1-0

Last week: China Spring 38, Hillsboro 7; Gatesville 16, Whitney 6

Last year: Gatesville 30, Hillsboro 10

Eagles to watch: DE Sean Bates; QB DeVincent Brooks; RB/WR Drew McReless

Hornets to watch: QB Jake Truss (93-of-153, 1,231 yards, 16 TDs); WR Dominique Moore (22 catches, 328 yards, five TDs); LB Christian Santulan

Outlook: The Eagles are a passing team that often relies on play-action and misdirection to establish the best options. Last season, the Eagles hit the Hornets defense for 253 yards through the air but only 13 on the ground. Hillsboro will need better balance this year against Gatesville, which has allowed a total of 666 passing yards.

The Hornets average 330.7 yards and 31.3 points per game and could have a big day against the Eagles, who have scored 48 points and given up 113.

- District 24-3A -

CAMERON YOE at MADISONVILLE

7:30 p.m., Mustang Stadium

Records: Yoe Yoemen 4-2, 1-1; Madisonville Mustangs 3-4, 1-2

Last week: Yoe, idle; Madisonville 28, Taylor 25

Last year: Yoe 34, Madisonville 7

Yoemen to watch: QB Steven Townsend (91-of-138, 1,135 yards, 11 TDs); RB james Wells (456 yards, nine TDs); WR Brandon Freeman (22 catches, 372 yards, six TDs); LB Trevion Sims (70 tackles, two interceptions)

Mustangs to watch: RB Brock Taylor (747 yards); QB Howard Harris (625 rushing yards, seven TDs)

What it means: With losses to Rockdale and Caldwell, the Mustangs know a loss to the Yoemen would all but kill their playoff chances. The Yoemen are in a similar situation, having lost to Rockdale.

Outlook: If the Mustangs' last four games give any indication, then expect this one to be close. In those four games, Madisonville had six-point and two-point wins along with seven-point and two-point losses. The offenses will be a contrast in style. The Yoemen like to pass (1,348 yards), while the Mustangs like to run (1,621).

No. 10 ROCKDALE at NAVASOTA

7:30 p.m., Rattler Stadium

Records: Rockdale Tigers 7-0, 3-0; Navasota Rattlers 5-1, 1-1

Last week: Rockdale 28, Bryan Rudder 0; Caldwell 14, Navasota 0

Last year: Navasota 21, Rockdale 14

Tigers to watch: RB Greg Chelf (601 yards); RB Daniel Brooks (591 yards, eight TDs); DL Logan David

Rattlers to watch: QB Kye Hildreth (44-of-68, 695 yards; 634 rushing yards); RB Antoine Burrell (546 rushing yards); LB Kesnick Jones (81 tackles)

What it means: The newly ranked Tigers look to continue their perfect season and edge closer to clinching a playoff berth.

Outlook: In Class 3A, only Kennedale and Prosper have allowed fewer points per game than Rockdale's 8.0. But that won't intimidate the Rattlers, who were ranked No. 5 until suffering last week's loss and allow only 10.3 points.

Navasota's spread offense is designed to spread the defense and allow Hildreth and Burrell to take advantage in the running game. If the defense tries to cheat in, Hildreth will go to the air. His top target is Tevin Creeks, who has 15 catches for 303 yards. The offense averages just less than 400 yards per game. It will be a big test for the Tigers defense, which gives up just 179.1 per game.

- District 16-2A -

BRUCEVILLE-EDDY at CRAWFORD

7:30 p.m., Pirate Stadium

Records: Bruceville-Eddy Eagles 1-5, 0-3; Crawford Pirates 4-2, 1-2

Last week: Hico 14, Bruceville-Eddy 12; McGregor 10, Crawford 7

Last year: Crawford 54, Bruceville-Eddy 7

Eagles to watch: QB Sheldon Walker (65-of-114, 678 yards, four TDs, five interceptions); RB Logan Pratt (473 yards, two TDs); WR Sul Ross (17 catches, 213 yards, two TDs); WR Mason Edwards (16 catches, 204 yards); WR Mark Alvear (16 catches, 149 yards, two TDs)

Pirates to watch: QB Chane Lynch; RB Bryce Murphy; WR Doug VanZandt; WR Daniel Post

What it means: Bruceville-Eddy hopes to end its 13-game district losing streak and four-game skid overall. Crawford has dropped back-to-back district games.

Outlook: The Eagles figure to face an angry Pirate team that's desperate to stay in the playoff hunt after losses to Troy and McGregor. Crawford is at its best establishing balance between Murphy's hard-running style and Lynch's quick-strike capabilities. Bruceville-Eddy - especially on offense - isn't ready to handle a shootout with Crawford.

TROY at MOODY

7:30 p.m., Bearcat Stadium

Records: Troy Trojans 5-1, 3-0; Moody Bearcats 2-4, 0-3

Last week: Troy 59, Hamilton 7; Clifton 55, Moody 14

Last year: Troy 56, Moody 6

Trojans to watch: RB Cyrus McKenzie (630 yards, 10 TDs); RB/DB Roy Freeman (396 yards, three TDs; 19 tackles, four interceptions); RB Trey Collier (43 carries, 308 yards, two TDs); LB Justin Gregory (team-high 50 tackles, one interception, four recovered fumbles); LB Luke Randolph (team-high 50 tackles, two sacks); DE Andrew Taylor (32 tackles, five sacks); NG Jerek Foster (29 tackles, four sacks); K Brandon Clark (44-yard field goal vs. Hamilton)

Bearcats to watch: RB Tony Recio (179 yards); RB Joe Owen (81 yards, TD); WR Ricky Siler (three catches, 81 yards, TD); WR Stetson Jaske (four catches, 33 yards, TD); QB Eric Alexander (6-of-15, 71 yards, TD); LB Jared McNamara (team-high 62 tackles); DL Jonathan Alejandro (49 tackles)

Outlook: The Trojans should continue to roll as they steamroll toward a district title showdown with McGregor in Week 10. Troy has continued to punish opponents on the ground, averaging just over 300 yards per game. Combine that with a stingy defense, and Moody will need its best game of the season and plenty of Troy mistakes to keep this close.

- District 20-2A -

ROSEBUD-LOTT at TEAGUE

7:30 p.m., Lion Stadium

Records: Rosebud-Lott Cougars 2-4, 0-1; Teague Lions 1-5, 1-0

Last week: Franklin 47, Rosebud-Lott 12; Teague 20, Marlin 12

Last year: Teague 50, Rosebud-Lott 20

Cougars to watch: RB DeAndre Thompson (489 yards, eight TDs); QB Ernesto Flores (41-of-88, 469 yards, five TDs, four interceptions; 432 rushing yards, five TDs); WR Riley Edwards (four catches, 122 yards); RB Shawn Bell (43 yards); RB Brashaun Buhl (109 yards)

Lions to watch: QB Jared Phillips; RB Casey Samuels; RB Larry Busby; WR Jordan Smith

Outlook: Teague earned its first victory last week by forcing three fumbles and blocking a punt. The Lions haven't had much success on offense, averaging just five points per game. Rosebud-Lott hasn't had much luck on offense either, scoring four TDs in its last two games. Whatever the Cougars put together might be enough against a defense that's allowed a district-worst 41 points per game.

- District 25-2A -

FLORENCE at JARRELL

7:30 p.m., Cougar Field

Records: Florence Buffaloes 1-5, 0-2; Jarrell Cougars 0-6, 0-3

Last week: Florence, idle; Rogers 55, Jarrell 0

Last year: Jarrell 32, Florence 12

Buffaloes to watch: QB Doak Hensley (99-of-230, 1,005 yards, eight TDs, 13 interceptions); RB Brian Ross (308 yards, two TDs); RB Michael Ramirez (219 yards, three TDs); WR Josh Herring (29 catches, 349 yards, four TDs); WR Balentin Carranco (23 catches, 236 yards, TD)

Cougars to watch: WR/DB Daniel Tucker (20 catches, 388 yards, three TDs; 24 tackles); QB Dwight Culp (15-of-47, 256 yards, two TDs, one interception); RB/LB Clayton Kovar (190 yards, TD; team-high 56 tackles); RB Stephen Taylor (213 yards); LB Humberto Bravo (42 tackles)

What it means: Jarrell tries to end its eight-game losing streak in what could be both teams' only chance at a district win.

Outlook: Two struggling teams under first-year coaches meet with the loser earning the dubious distinction of likely finishing last - and winless - in 25-2A. Neither team has been very competitive against the rest of the district, so this one should be close. The edge goes to Florence, which has an offense that's statistically better than Jarrell's.

ROGERS at LEXINGTON

7:30 p.m., Eagle Stadium

Records: Rogers Eagles 5-1, 2-0; Lexington Eagles 4-3, 2-1

Last week: Rogers 55, Jarrell 0; Lexington 17, Salado 10

Last year: Rogers 45, Lexington 10

Rogers players to watch: TB E.J. Larkin (area-best 909 yards, 11 TDs); FB Chance Marek (667 yards, 12 TDs); HB Ryan Pierce (484 yards, four TDs); QB/FS Ryan Fares (12-of-23, 230 yards, five TDs, one interception; 38 tackles); LB Jacolby Brown (team-high 45 tackles); LB Cody Weir (36 tackles, four forced fumbles); LB Tyler Welsh (35 tackles); CB J.C. Garcia (27 tackles)

Lexington players to watch (last week's stats): RB Xavier Ward (97 yards, TD); RB Clint Hutson (33 yards); QB Josh Murray; QB Kogan Garrett; K Mason Vecera (37-yard field goal)

What it means: Rogers aims to extend its district winning streak to nine games.

Outlook: The key to stopping Rogers is slowing down its powerful rushing attack. Lexington held Salado to 138 yards on the ground, most of those coming in the first half. Though the last time Lexington faced a run-heavy opponent, it allowed 418 yards. It's tough to say which Lexington defense will show up tonight.

SALADO at LAGO VISTA

7:30 p.m., Sisemore Field

Records: Salado Eagles 2-5, 2-1; Lago Vista Vikings 3-2, 1-1

Last week: Lexington 17, Salado 10; Academy 31, Lago Vista 0

Last year: Salado 22, Lago Vista 0

Eagles to watch: RB Austin Silva (662 yards, seven TDs); RB/LB Cole Calder (367 yards, four TDs); WR Hunter Ward (22 catches, 251 yards, TD); QB Cole Brentham (54-of-117, 566 yards, TD, five interceptions); LB Clint Scarborough (11 tackles vs. Lexington); LB Colton Norman; DB Danny Michael

Vikings to watch: RB Jason Cormier (791 yards); RB Ryan Bingham (215 yards); QB Garrett Swan; RB Brady Land; RB JeMarcus Johnson

Outlook: Both teams come off tough-to-swallow losses and have a big hole to climb out if they lose another. For Salado to avoid being that team, the Eagles must establish an offensive identity. After having success running the football early against Lexington, Salado went nowhere in the second half. If the Eagles can't get their ground game going consistently to open things up for Brentham, their playoff hopes could be finished.

- District 26-A -

BARTLETT at HOLLAND

8 p.m., Hornet Field

Records: Bartlett Bulldogs 3-2, 0-1; Holland Hornets 2-4, 0-1

Last week: Thorndale 27, Bartlett 26 (OT); Thrall 21, Holland 6

Last year: Bartlett 35, Holland 6

Bulldogs to watch: RB/LB Eric Walker (466 yards, four TDs); QB/DB Gabriel Gadison (31-of-59, 376 yards, four TDs, three interceptions; 490 rushing yards, seven TDs); WR Roman Perez (nine catches, 74 yards); DB Leonard Hinojosa

Hornets to watch: RB/DB Chance Brantner (659 yards, five TDs); QB Mike Cockerill (41-of-110, 487 yards, four TDs, three interceptions; 305 rushing yards, three TDs); WR Sam Goodnight (15 catches, 240 yards, two TDs); WR/DB Gabriel Camacho (17 catches, 172 yards, two TDs); DB Colby Bane; DB Sam Cortez; DE Blair Severson

Outlook: This one's pretty simple: If Bartlett establishes its run game against one of the area's worst rushing defenses, the Bulldogs will get back on track. The Hornets allow 37 points and 260 rushing yards per game. Bartlett's combination of Walker and Gadison has been tough to slow down and it should be tonight as well.

GRANGER at THRALL

8 p.m., Tiger Stadium

Records: Granger Lions 0-6, 0-1; Thrall Tigers 2-3, 1-0

Last week: Milano 24, Granger 6; Thrall 21, Holland 6

Last year: Granger 34, Thrall 0

Lions to watch: RB Andrew Aleman (319 yards, five TDs); RB Joel Sifuentes (143 yards); QB Jaron Davis (2-of-23, 27 yards, interception; 220 rushing yards); DB Pedro Juarez

Tigers to watch (last week's stats): QB Tucker Lovelace (4-of-8, 39 yards; 45 rushing yards); RB Hayden Caffey (82 yards, two TDs); RB Michael Wells (50 yards); WR Bill Bidson (two catches, 21 yards)

Outlook: The Lions' chances of ending their 10-game losing streak aren't good. Thrall can move into the district title chase with a win tonight on the legs of its strong rushing attack. The Tigers averaged just under 5 yards per carry in last week's win. Granger is improved on defense but struggles to score. The Lions average 11 points per game.

THORNDALE at MILANO

8 p.m., Pruitt Field

Records: Thorndale Bulldogs 4-2, 1-0; Milano Eagles 5-0, 1-0

Last week: Thorndale 27, Bartlett 26 (OT); Milano 24, Granger 6

Last year: Thorndale 14, Milano 12

Bulldogs to watch (last week's stats): RB Shea Maupin (106 yards); QB Paxton Jordan (70 rushing yards, three TDs); RB Steven McKendrick (49 yards; receiving TD)

Eagles to watch: QB Matthew Jentsch (789 rushing yards, nine TDs); RB Thomas Sanders (466 yards, four TDs); RB Sam Walker (374 yards, four TDs); DB Andrew Evans (12 tackles vs. Granger); LB Chris Juhl; DB John Paniagua

Outlook: The Eagles can grab control of the district title race with a win over the Bulldogs. Milano's at its best when the trio of Jentsch, Sanders and Walker is running wild. The Eagles average 332 rushing yards per game and picked up 329 in last week's win. Thorndale held Bartlett's run-heavy offense to 173 yards.

- TAPPS District 3-Six-Man -

CEDAR PARK SUMMIT at CENTRAL TEXAS CHRISTIAN

7:30 p.m., Frazee Field

Records: Summit Eagles 5-2, 1-0; CTCS Lions 3-4, 1-0

Last week: Summit 61, Abilene Christian 13; Dallas Covenant 69, CTCS 24

Last year: CTCS 69, Summit 24

Eagles to watch: RB/QB Jonathan Andrews (757 rushing yards, 15 TDs; 10-of-19, 216 yards, three TDs); QB Samuell Castello (21-of-35, 262 yards, six TDs); WR Devin Cortez (eight catches, 175 yards, four TDs)

Lions to watch: QB Taylor Truitt (18-of-44, 209 yards, two TDs; 101 rushing yards, TD); RB Caleb Paschall (495 yards, nine TDs); RB Jeremiah Bergert (447 rushing yards, eight TDs; 8-of-24, 139 yards, three TDs)

What it means: The winner moves one step closer to a district championship while the loser faces a must-win game next week.

Outlook: According to CTCS coach Jeremy Wentrcek, Bergert will play tonight after missing the last three games with an ankle injury. The Lions need Bergert, Truitt and Paschall to have big games to knock off an Eagles squad that went 2-8 last season but is averaging 65.5 points the past four games. According to sixmanfootball.com, the Eagles are 17-point favorites.

- Non-District -

HOLY TRINITY CATHOLIC at BRYAN ALLEN

7:30 p.m., Baker Field

Records: Holy Trinity Celtics 3-4; Allen Rams 5-2

Last week: Marble Falls Faith 55, Holy Trinity 34; Allen 58, Houston Texas Christian 15

Last year: Allen 59, Holy Trinity 27

Celtics to watch: QB Jacob Daheim (97-of-186, 1,050 yards, area-best 17 TDs); WR Chris Watson (18 catches, 335 yards, seven TDs); WR Carlos Frederique (25 catches, 270 yards, three TDs); RB Christian Wiedenfeld (471 yards, four TDs; 10 catches, 146 yards, TD)

Rams to watch: RB Gary Flemings (822 yards, 16 TDs); RB Matt Schieffer (six TDs)

What it means: Holy Trinity needs to win its final three games to record its first winning season in school history.

Outlook: The Celtics' playoff hopes are over after going 0-4 in TAPPS District 3-Six-Man play. Flemings and Schieffer led Allen's 304-yard ground attack last week. The Eagles allow less than 20 points per game. According to sixmanfootball.com, Allen is favored by 37 points.
