S&W pediatric doctor helps train Iraqis for disasters

Providing care for Iraqi women and children will go a long way in building a relationship with Iraq, Dr. James Brien of Scott & White Memorial Hospital said.

"Make no mistake," Brien said, "it's the men who run the country, but the safety and health of their wives and children is very important to them."

Brien, chief of inpatient pediatrics and pediatric infectious disease at Scott & White, recently returned from a trip to Basra, Iraq, as a representative of the International Medical Corps.
