Rainy days and Mondays: Heavy rains bring more flooding to area

Heavy rainfall resulted in some flooded road crossings Monday morning and at least one water rescue in Temple.

The Temple area received an estimated 1½ inches of rain overnight and into the early morning hours Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

The average precipitation for October in the Temple area is 3.75 inches of rain. So far this month, the area has received just over seven inches, according to the NWS.

Temple Fire & Rescue responded to assist a motorist after his vehicle became stranded at a low-water crossing at Wildflower Country Club in Temple.
