Rosebud-Lott (5-4 overall, 3-1 district) likely will finish second in District 20-2A to Franklin but has secured a spot in the Class 2A state playoffs for the first time since 2004.
Leon (4-5, 2-2) remains in the hunt for the district's final playoff slot with one game remaining in the regular season.
The win was the second in two weeks in which Rosebud-Lott had to overcome a double-digit deficit. Last week it scored 23 third-quarter points to defeat Marlin 37-30.
This week Rosebud-Lott found itself trailing 20-0 with 7:14 left in the second period and the ball on its 10-yard line before it started its comeback. Behind the running and passing of quarterback Ernesto Flores, it launched a 14-play touchdown drive that ate 4:34 off the clock. Flores finished the drive with a 15-yard run up the middle.
Overall, Flores ran for 180 yards and three touchdowns on 31 carries, and completed nine of 16 passes for 167 yards and two more scores. He was at the helm of a high-powered offense that generated 19 first downs, 250 yards rushing and 417 total yards.
