CAMERON - Buzz Rahm of Morgan's Point has a lot in common with Norman Thayer. They both majored in English. They both speak French. And they both have a flair for sarcasm.

So it made sense for Rahm to play the cynical old man, one of the lead roles in Milam Community Theater's production of "On Golden Pond," which opens at 8 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Williams Civic Center. Written by Ernest Thompson, the play follows an aging couple, Norman and Ethel Thayer, who spend their summers at a lake house. They try to repair their turbulent relationship with their daughter, Chelsea, and face the reality of growing old.
