Burial will be in Lawler Cemetery in Florence.
Mr. Proctor died Sunday, Nov. 1, in Temple.
He was born Nov. 23, 1917, in Bell County to William Harvey and Pearl Denson Proctor. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He served aboard the USS Lowndes during the battle of Iwo Jima and the battle of Okinawa. He married Albena Elizabeth Russell on Aug. 23. 1949. He was a long-time resident of Jarrell and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jarrell. He was a 32nd degree Mason and Knight Templar and a member of Florence Masonic Lodge AF & AM and he was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. He worked for Griggs Equipment in Belton for more than 36 years as a night superintendent for the chrome department until he retired in 1991.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Ralaine Alexander and Pama Danek; a son, Warren Proctor; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
