Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Havelka died Friday, Oct. 30, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 3, 1939, in Bartlett to Timothy and Frances Havelka. He graduated from Jarrell High School in 1957 and went to work in Temple at Wilson Plastics. He then worked in Austin at Capital Aggregates and later as a carpenter, homebuilder and superintendent for various homebuilders throughout Central Texas. He married Frances Marak March 31, 1962, and she preceded him in death Jan. 9, 2009. They lived in Austin until 1984. He joined the U.S. Army in 1962 and went to basic training in El Paso and was stationed at Fort Meade in Maryland. He was honorably discharged in 1968. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Austin. He was also a member of the Travis County Bass Association winning many tournaments. He moved back to Jarrell in 1991 and joined Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Theresa Havelka Smith of Pflugerville; two sons, James Havelka of Pflugerville and David Havelka of Jarrell; three sisters, Helen Jezisek of Granger, Isabel Friebrich of Rockne, and Edith Goertz of Pflugerville; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at the Gabriel’s Funeral Chapel in Georgetown.
