Belton to get middle school

BELTON - Local election highlights Tuesday included voters in Temple decisively passing a liquor option and, in a closer tally, Belton ISD residents approving a $29 million bond to build a new middle school.

Belton ISD's bond passed by 385 votes.

Minutes after hearing that the Belton ISD bond had passed, Dr. Vivian Baker, superintendent, expressed gratitude.
