Graveside services will be 4 p.m. today in Pidcoke Cemetery with the Rev. Sonny Garman officiating.
Mr. Jones was born on March 8, 1928, to the late Clay and Linnie Gallaway Jones in Coryell County. He grew up and went to school in Pidcoke. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 28 years, retiring in the late 1980s. He was a member of the Old Timers Rodeo Association. He was Baptist. He was preceded in death by a great-grandson.
Survivors include a son, Billy Ray Jones of Flat; three daughters, Paula Wright of Coryell City and Carol Ann Barton and Janice Blankenship, both of Gatesville; a sister, Valine Osborn of Gatesville; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
