Moment of Silence

The Temple Chamber of Commerce, among other entities, is asking that everyone observe a moment of silence at 1:35 p.m. today in memory of the 13 people killed Thursday afternoon at Ford Hood.

Other developments so far today:

The death toll in Thursday's shootings at Fort Hood is 13 with 30 injured, including the suspected shooter, who was shot four times, according to a press release from III Corps.

Nidal Malik Hasan, 39, was transported to Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, according to a Bell County dispatcher. He is on a respirator and has not regained consciousness, according to a Fort Hood official.

Ten victims are being treated at Scott & White, according to the officials. Other victims are being treated at Metroplex Hospital, Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Hood and Seaton Hospital in Round Rock.

In the confusion of the scene on Thursday, witnesses identified two other possible suspects, who were taken into custody and interviewed, but later released, according to the official.

Another update is expected at a press conference scheduled for 1:30 p.m. today.
