Counselors at Chupik & Associates Counseling in Temple and Killeen will be open Friday and Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. for soldiers and military families affected by Thursday's shootings at Fort Hood.

Linda Chupik, psychotherapist and licensed marriage and family therapist, said that counselors will be available as a community service at both Temple and Killeen offices.

"Our families and soldiers are already under emotional strain because of the war and deployments," she said. "We want to keep both offices open especially for our military who want to drop in and talk."

Those calling should leave a message and a counselor will return the call, Chupik said.
