Community response fund set up

The Central Texas-Fort Hood Chapter of Association of the United States Army set up a Community Response to 11/5 Fund for anyone wishing to make monetary donations to help support the families of the victims involved in Thursday's shooting Fort Hood.

"Supporting these brave soldiers and their families in the wake of this terrible tragedy is very important," said Ron Taylor, the chapter president.

"This community has always rallied steadfastly around our troops. We will not let them down during this critical time of need," Taylor said. "Our hearts and prayers are with the victims, the families of the fallen and the wounded during their recovery process."

Checks should be made payable to The Central Texas-Fort Hood Chapter, Association of the US Army, ATTN: Community Response to 11/5, P.O. Box 10700, Killeen, Texas 76547.

Donations are tax deductible.
