Denise Pennington, Killeen school district homeless liaison, talked at a Wednesday meeting of the Central Texas Homeless Alliance about the district's efforts. She presented a film that featured homeless children.
The children in the film talked about losing friends and being scared when they had to change schools. They also exhibited resilience as they talked about their dreams - becoming the first woman president, buying a house for their mother.
