But after three consecutive seasons with teams that made getting to the national tournament look like a cakewalk, Reese finally has a team that is making her say "if."
"Right now, I just want to get past this weekend," she said of the upcoming NJCAA Region 5 tournament set for Saturday and Sunday at Brookhaven College in Dallas, "and worry about the teams we've already faced that we've had a roller coaster ride with."
To help prepare for the regional and national tournaments, the Lady Leopards hosted two national powers Monday - Lee College, who has made the national tournament six times, and defending national champion Blinn.
TC took down Lee 22-25, 26-24, 25-23, 25-23 before losing to No. 2 Blinn 17-25, 21-25, 22-25.
