Revised Census Bureau estimates say Bell County's poverty rate is on par with the national rate and slightly below the Texas rate.

The new data was released as part of the bureau's Small Area Income and Poverty Estimates program, the only source for single-year income and poverty information. The bureau also says the SAIPE information has a smaller margin of error than American Community Survey data released earlier this month.
