Mrs. Ross died Sunday, June 28, in a Temple nursing home.
She was born on July 26, 1915, to Henry D. Sloan and Kate Webb Sloan in Greenfield, Mo. She was a graduate of Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Ill. She married David S. Ross on Feb. 5, 1939, in Nevada. She worked as a teacher in the Illinois school system and later as a librarian and history teacher in LaGrange. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years on March 14, 2004.
Survivors include a son, David N. Ross of Temple; a grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Temple is in charge of arrangements.
