Two East Bell County hike and bike trails will get a slice of $76 million for 54 projects approved by the Texas Transportation Commission on Thursday.

Temple officials learned the city will receive $2,155,099 in Transportation Enhancement Program federal funds for bicycle and pedestrian trails in the Temple Medical Education District, while Belton will get $1,835,661 for extension of the Nolan Creek Pedestrian and Bike Trail.
