Day For Women

Women
of all ages can experience a relaxing day of all their favorite
things: fashion, shopping, and well-deserved pampering at a Day
for Women held at the Frank W. Mayborn Civic & Convention
Center. Browse vendor booths from area businesses as well as attend
a luncheon with featured speaker and catered meal for a limited
number of guests. Other seminars and demonstrations are held throughout
the day providing valuable information for women. A new addition
to Day for Women 2009 was a Prom and Cocktail Attire fashion show
featuring the latest trends from local merchants.
Taste of Home Cooking School
Enjoy
great live cooking demos with top culinary specialists, fabulous
recipes and simple entertaining ideas, local vendors, food samples,
prize giveaways, and a free goodie bag for each person that attends
at Taste of Home Cooking School. This entertaining event is held
at the Frank W. Mayborn Civic & Convention
Center annually in the spring.
Pioneer Day
Next Event: June 26, 2010
Celebrate Temple’s
birthday with Pioneer Day held at the Frank W. Mayborn Civic & Convention
Center. This annual event features live music, dancing, entertainment,
food, and fun for all ages. Prizes are awarded to the oldest man,
oldest woman, and couple married the longest that attend Pioneer
Day.
Bridal Showcase
Brides-to-be are
able to view samples and services provided by local wedding vendors
at the Bridal Showcase all in one convenient location. This annual
event held in late July consists of vendor booths, samples, and
a fashion show featuring wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and
mother-of-the-bride gowns.

Anyone
interested in outdoor fun should attend the Central Texas Outdoor
Expo held at the Bell County Expo Center annually in October. This
new event has tons of family fun activities including rock climbing,
dog training, and a snake pit. Check out boats, RV’s, ATV’s,
hunting, fishing, camping, and other outdoor related products and
services. Presentations and demonstrations provide useful information
for everyone with an interest in outdoor activities.
